Multiple Height Layers

A build layer can optionally include multiple height layers. These are useful if you want to extend the current build layer vertically using the same blueprint map. You can also assign three different tile presets to these height layers: Top, Middle, and Bottom.

Setup

  1. Select your build layer and enable Use Multiple Height Layers.

  1. Under Tile Presets, you can now assign three presets: Top, Middle, and Bottom.

  • The Top preset is always used for the first (highest) layer.

  • The Bottom preset is used for the last (lowest) layer.

  • All layers in between will use the Middle preset.

You can leave Middle and Bottom preset empty if you want to just use one preset for all height layers.

Top, Middle and Bottom tile presets
  1. Under Tile Layers, you’ll see all height layers listed, each with a height offset and an optional tile override.

When Use Multiple Height Layers is enabled, you can use the build layer gizmo from the paint overlay in the Scene view. Simply switch to Gizmo Mode and drag the cube handle to add or remove height layers. When dragging, TileWorldCreator will always set a height offset of +1, so depending on the height of the tile, some adjustments must be made.
